WARNING: LOTS OF PICS.
Also the pics are from the NYC Auto Show that took place in April 2006!
So these pics were lying[?] around in my Photobucket for a long time and were being wasted so I thought I would post them here. Hope you guys enjoy them even though they are from 8 months ago and kill the bandwidth soon, I think. So pics might be dead by tomorrow.

FYI these pics were taken with a point and shoot Canon Powershot A610 5MP Digital Camera left in the Auto setting with no flash and no tripod. Even though I'm a camera n00b the pictures came out great! I guess it was because the lighting inside was great for photography and I was very excited to be there to hold the camera very still, even though I was carrying about 20lbs of brocheres. lol.

Carrera GT!

still looks so good...

big brakes on the Z06. I tried to pop the hood on it by trying to locate the cord and pulling it but the lazy old mens were don't even bother trying.
GM broke off all the hood latches on their cars to prevent people from getting into the engine bay but on the Saturn Ion Redline we just located the latch cable and popped it open. Then sort of hot Saturn woman came and said wtf?!?! when I was trying to steal the Mobil 1 oil cap...

us car manufacturers really need to stop with the "throwback" cars and follow japanese trends in smaller/more efficient transportation.

I should make a thread for my LA Auto Show pics.

And I agree extraducksauce. But in addition to "smaller/more efficient transportation" I think forward thinking ideas. American car companies seem to differ from Jap/Euro in that they always think to the past with "throwback" cars instead of looking forward into new ideas like the Japanese/European car manufacturers. They they try to stick to "tried and true" formulas, etc. And I think that stuff is only appealing to the 50 yr. old white men of America and not so much to the rest of the world. It's a little frustrating.
At the LA Auto Show many manufacturers had concept vehicles or high perfomance, innovative vehicles. And what did most of the domestic showcase areas feature? Trucks. And crappy mid-size sedans. And large SUVs. Or retro vehicles that simply refresh an old successful car, i.e. GT500 Mustang, Challenger, Camaro, base Corvette even. It's as if that's all they have now. "Yeah, look at what we did. Look at our past. Wasn't that great?" Yeah, it was cool, now get over it and start developing a car that will be the new Mustang, the new Camaro. Something somewhat new/revolutionary for the time. But nope. Instead they just go back to the old. It's frustrating how conservative domestic car manufacturers can be. But it is getting better...

And it looks like the LA Auto Show's Ferrari and Porsche areas served up the NY Auto Show's exotic/high end showcase areas.
They were amazing this year in LA.

I say suck it, domestics.

Seriously. Can Chrysler be any LESS creative with their Charger design? I just hate how every other company is working on the next "new" look of cars, and all the American manufacturers are looking back in time to sell more cars.

z06 brakes = wow. seriously i dont think anything beats the z06 for price and performance. i hear stock z06 + sticky tires = 10's
