Default Peaty, how do you like the 65W H7s?

Read your post about the install but was just wondering how have you liked them so far? I just pulled the trigger on them today and can't wait to install 'em.

Off topic, I can't believe Subaru didn't offer Xenons as an option on the B9. I was initially going to install aftermarket ones, but after doing some throrough research about 'em decided against it. The beam pattern would most likely be thrown off and make matters worse.

Thx,
Tim

I think the problem with adding HID lights to the Tribeca is the Daytime Running lights. From what I understand, the HID lights will flicker when in reduced output/DRL mode. Let us know how hard you find the light install. Wish it were easier.

I don't get to drive the B9 all that much much less at night. However, this past weekend we took a long drive to my wife's company Holiday Party. I was impressed with the amount of light and how the B9's lamps light a dark highway. I'm still not really use to the projector style of lamps though, the cut off line is so distinct and sharp it's almost annoying on undulating roads. Hard to describe. I guess I'd get use to it if I drove it more.

The install is kind of a pain I have to admit. The results are good though.

As far as HID lamps, I thought they were avalaible in other countries?

Thx for the feedback. Yeah, I can relate about the sharp cut off. Two of my previous cars had Xenons, however, I had a very hard time driving at night in the Z4. I assume it was just too low to the ground and my eyes got tired very quickly and most of the signs would not be illuminated well. No such problems in the FX though.

Not that it's truly a fair comparison but having come out of the FX recently, I find the B9's headlights quite poor in comparison (of course, we're talking about a difference of roughly 1000 lumes per headlight due to Xenon vs Halogen). At least the hi-beams are fine though. Hopefully the 65W H7s will make a difference.

As for the HIDs being available in other countries, I assume you mean OEMs for the B9? If so, do you know which country? I checked the AU website since I was aware they had different tail lights but don't see Xenon as standard or optional.

I'd definitiely be interested in a group buy on OEM Xenons if they were available.
