Have a Nice Day? Aqua Fria Body shop Review

For those of you that get rear ended by a shuttle bus at the airport... Or hit stationary trees (sideswipe).... I thought I'd write up my thoughts on Aqua Fria... (Phoenix - West Side)

I've had my car back for a couple weeks now... And the more I look at the job, the more disappointed I am with it. I know RacingFish recommends them, but quite honestly outside of getting the job done quickly, I'm not too impressed...

The damage was the rear left side... Bumper, taillight, trunk..

Problems:
1. STI Badge upside down
2. Rattle coming from Exhaust
3. Noticable swirls in the paint finish
4. SUBARU badge is at the top of the trunk instead of the middle
5. They didn't clean up their mess at all. My muffler was coating in a white powder. White residue along all the seams on the car (where they painted)..

The STI Badge they fixed right away. The other issues I've noticed over the past 2 weeks. I crawlled under the car to find the bolts holding the bracket for the exhaust hanger are falling out. I could turn them with my hand...

My Personal Ratings (out of 10.. 10 being the best)
Speed: 10
Paint: 6
Quality: 5
Clean-up: 2

Overall Rating I'd give them a 6.5

I need to get back to the shop for them to fix the issues, unfortunately I've been traveling for work too much... I'm confident they'll take care of it as they did have a high sense of customer satisfaction... But I shouldn't have to take the car in for simple things like "hey we forgot to tighten the bolts that hold on your exhaust!"

So I just took the car back to Agua and they are ordering the Subaru Badging so they can redo that. They tightened all FOUR bolts that were about to fall out (I only noticed two initially)..... And they are going to repaint if they can't buff out all the problems with the paint job....

Now only if I could convince them to repaint the whole car at no charge

Sounds like the had a bad day and are making good. Any shop that relys on trade skills can often be short manpower and have to hire outside the choice pools.

the swirl marks just add character

Their customer service has been great there. When I took it in to show them the problems, they had no issues with getting it fixed. But honestly, I'd rather they have kept my car longer and done it right the first time.

Glad they are taking care of you. All body shops can have issues at times and rush through things here and there. Seen it thousands of times. The best advice I can give anyone is Do not sign off on the car until you are happy with it. If you leave the lot with the car a lot of times they will tell you to pound sand
