How low?
If cruising it's somewhat ok. <- (and this may just be phantom knock)
Also, how do you know it's knock?

That is knock correction it sounds like. That is perfectly fine.
Knock correction is the amount of ignition timing the ecu is pulling. Doesn't necessarily mean you're knocking.
It is genuinely most useful to look at knock correction when you are at WOT to check for knock.

so per the logging with ecu explorer - how do you know you are knocking? ie, values, etc....

^^^ Well first you'll see a constant negative correction through the rpms that you are knocking. it is doubtful that you would knock at part throttle at low rpms. Depending on how low of rpms we are talking about it could be that you are lugging the engine alittle and the shake is causing the knock sensor to detect false knock.

I think alot of people see the tip-in negative knock correction values and freak out thinking they are knocking. But every car I've logged has had -3 or -5 values on throttle blips so I think it may actually be programmed in the ECU to pull timing on tip-in.

killa96, what kind of rpms are you talking about? Just a description of "low rpms" doesn't cut it. My idea of low rpms is anything below 2200, and I don't drive in low rpms (if it falls under 2200 I will downshift).
