Default question about 02 wrx head bolts

I had to remove my heads and get them worked on but my question is are the head bolts reusable? I have searched but found nothing on this so my guess is they are but I want to be for sure before I get the heads all assembled.

Thanks Tim

I've reused head bolts for a D-series Honda before without problems. Technically speaking you are supposed to replace them on Hondas so I would imagine you are for Subarus too, but you may be able to get away with reusing them.

Supposed to replace them incase they stretched..... If they happened to stretch I dont know what the potential dangers are.... blowning a headgasket or something I guess?

Every time in the past that I've done a motor I've replaced the head bolts.

ok thanks guys, I guess I will go ahead and replace the head bolts cause I do not want to tear down the motor again for something this simple.

The service manual does not say to replace the bolts, so I too would like to hear from more people who have re-used the oem bolts... anyone else? I am in the middle of replacing my block and cant decide...
