Default 92 legacy L wont start

Ok, so this has been going on for the last month or so, but its random so that makes this suck. I go to start the car and I turn the key and nothing happens, I have full power all the lights come on and the seatbelt moves, but nothing from the engine, no clicking no nothing. In the past i've opened the hood checked all the wires and shut the hood and it starts up, now when i do that it doesnt work. i'm thinking loose wire maybe? any ideas before I start tearing into her?

Bad ground?

Bad starter?

Bad ignition?

I had the same issue and mine turned out to be a bad starter ground. Pull off the starter and hook a hot and cold lead to it while out of the car. Hold on to it and see if she spins.

so far i've checked the wires to the starter, checked the battery terminal wires(my pos cable needs to be cleaned ) nothing.. started tapping on the starter and it tried to turn over which is more life than i've seen in a while, so i'm gonna have my friend come over and we'll try and jump it and see if it starts. the car is suposed to have a new starter and it looks new. might do the battery stuff first and see if that helps. maybe try a different battery. worked fine all summer long til it started to get cold.. so maybe its just a weak battery.

Clean the wires. I've read far too many threads on here with "starter" problems and its the battery terminals being dirty.

If it's not that, then diagnose further. I agree with possibly being a clutch pedal sensor, or the automatic park sensor (make sure it's seated all the way).

i had the same problem with my corolla for a few months , one day i was looking at the battery and noticed the wire on the positive post, the wing nut where all the wires join on was loose, i tightened it up and it has never had that problem since.

Is it an aftermarket starter? I've seen those dead in the box.
