What I know for sure....Cave Creek and Union is 101, 56th/Bell is 100, Speedworld is 109 (only available weekends, but works out to be the least expensive).

If you are stock, only put in four gallons (+/- 0.5 gals) of 100 in (reset ECU afterword). Your car will love it, but much more than that and you may actually see a slight decrease in butt-dyno performance.

A buddy of mine always goes to one of the airfields in Tempe or Mesa to get gas for his ATV... I think it's Falcon Field. You should just be able to pull right up and pump.

navgas (airplane fuel) will clog your cat so make sure not to put it in your car unless your cattless.

Come on guys, Chandler blvd and 44th street. Head west on Chandler blvd and turn right on 44th street. It is the one pump that is located furthest to the southwest of the station. Blue pump is VP101 @ 5.99.

There you go.

yes (avgas) aviation gas is leaded.. it is 100 octane and is prob not the greatest thing to run in your car since it is different from stuff at gas stations. There are two basic types which are dyed two different colors one is green one is blue.. for identification and pre flight purposes. 100/130 avgas is used primarily for older planes with older style engines that require higher octane.. the stuff is very, very saturated with lead. and highly toxic as it contains TEL which is uber damaging to the environment. The newer type is 100LL which stands for low lead.. it is still far more toxic than gas for cars and still does contain lead and other chemicals not found in gas for cars. hope that helps a bit.

EDIT: just looked at my flight charts and figured I'd throw this up if anyone is interested.

100/130 avgas the highest octane grade.. it contains 4 grams of lead per US gallon. green dye

100LL low lead 100 octane contains a special lead based anti knock agent, but is less than the above ..... blue

there is also an 80/87 avgas which contains .05 grams of lead per gallon.. it is dyed red.

just be aware these fuel are specifically designed to run in aircraft not cars.. I know a lot of people use them.. but the purpose is to make a fuel far less volatile, evaporate MUCH slower ( for high altitude purposes) and burn at a totally different. ect... many have dual ratings like 100/130 one is under lean conditions.. and the other is under rich flight conditions. for high revving supercharged, turbo engines.. upto 30,000 RPMS

you can not compare the octane rating to a motor vehicle. 100LL avgas is not the same as 100 motor vehicle gas as the testing method is different based on different conditions of operation and the formula ((R+M)/2)

I just buy Torco 5 gallons at a time and put a new set of NGK Iridiums in every year.

5 gallons is 640 ounces. I run a strong 91 octane map for daily driving and use a full 32 oz in each tank on track days. 32 oz of torco in 15.5 gallons = 98 octane. When bought in 5 gallon cans, it works out to about 28 cents an ounce. $8.69 per tank in addition to the actual price of fuel. That would only buy you a gallon and a half of 100 octane, if that. A 5 gallon drum is good for 20 tanks of gas, or for me 10 track weekends.

75K miles on the engine and sensors, only thing I have had to change are plugs. Torco is my best friend for racing on a budget. I can add a poound of boost on my street map and have to do no other tuning. Once done, I dial back the boost and run 91 octane fuel.

negative ghost rider

havgas has just a little lead in it - plus you mixing it with yet more unleaded to reduce the concentration

hopefully you dont have a cat - otherwise you will be gold!

You can get 110 octane at the Pavilions 76 station right off the 101.. I think it is $7 a gallon.
