Default Anyone running a Greddy Ultimate??

Hi, i have a 2002 WRX sawp with a JDM STi version 7 engine (EJ207). I am looking for an engine management that will take my mods and that i can get tuned by my mechanic without having to have a licence like Ecutek. So i am wondering if anyone if running this system on there new age WRX-STi. Any downsides or bad experiences?? And what about the tuning??

Thanks
Mat

Subarus ECUs learn around piggybacks like the Greedy. So when you compensate with it, the ECU undos the tune. The UTEC, although "piggyback" replaces the ECU signal after certain TPS/LOAD thresholds with its own fuel and timing map, so its not really piggyback, it just uses factory settings when not activated. Of course, Hydras and AEM are stand alone and do not suffer from these.

If the new Greedy's function like the UTECS then you should not have any problem but if it just modifies the original ECU signal, then is not recomended.

There is no such thing as learn-around. It's called poor tuning! Learn-around is a word made up to make people feel better about them self.
