Do anybody know how to tighten the spark plugs on a 2001 2.5rs?
Do i need to it torque the plugs or tighten it with wrenches?

Basically turn them until they get tight and don;t want ot turn anymore. Only use a 3/8 drive ratchet with a regular length handle and don;t try to over tighten them. Just go till they stop. It doesn;t take a lot. It's only about 17 lb/ft or so

Aluminum heads; ALWAYS use a torque wrench. 12-18 ft/lbs depending of how many times they have been removed for cleaning.

I tighten them to 18 ft/lb with a torque wrench, but don't forget to hand-tighten first so you don't cross-thread! I found on my MY99 that using a 6 inch extension + 3 inch extension + the spark plug socket worked to hand-tighten.

And while we're on the subject, what about spark plug wires, like the Magnecors. What would those do?

BTW, Imprezafan, I installed NGK V-powers to replace the wonderful now-"Cajun-style" Champions that came in the car. I think they cost me a whopping $1.99 a piece from my local Pep Boys.

The wires on our cars are just fine. Tests have shown no performance gains from wires on our cars.
