Default Ont. stage 2 e-test pass!

I was a little worried about passing the emissions test, but my 02 wrx with a catless uppipe, and a cobb high flow cat Barely passed.

The 2500 rpm wasn't too bad, but the curb idle scored 149 out of 150

another 2 years till I have to worry about it again!

my 05 STi passed with the cobb stage 2, catless downpipe, catless tanabe exhaust, aftermarket uppipe and injen intake.. was close at idle (idle bumped up to 1043rpm), the CO% 0.66 out of 0.70, HC ppm was 106 out of 150.

dtang - Are you saying you passed being completely catless?

funny thing is when I bought the car about 6 months ago, it had these mods on it and did not include any of the stock parts other than the stock exhaust which had a custom midpipe made without a cat. Not knowing much about Subaru's, the dealership I bought it from got it e-tested and it failed the first time, they bumped up the at idle rpm a little and had it re-tested and it passed.

Don't ask me how but it did. It wasn't till I brought it home and got under the car to have a closer look and realized that the car was catless.

you passed catless? sweet.

I shouldn't have any worries then since I'm Cobb Catted.

like I said in the first post, I also have the cobb catted, (it's my only cat)
and I barely passed.

By the way, I thought Ontario went to OBDII scans instead of Dyno runs to save money??

The Emission testors hook up the computer to the OBDII port, and put a probe in the tailpipe. they do a test at idle, then rev the motor to 2500rpm (in neutral) for the test in Ontario.

Read this one:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=838125

I guess that all dynos used for e-testing in Ontario are for 2 wheel drive vehicles only. Pmartell's description is right on for testing procedure of AWD vehicles.
