Depends on how the OpenSource map was tuned. Best bet is to reflash to Stage 2 at the same time you install the TBE.

Warning: Even flashing to stage 2 cannot fix boost creep. Can fix the spikes though. Boost creep is a mechanical issue.

Stage 2 exhaust setup with a Stage 1 tune (stock exhaust setup) will result in big boost spikes in most cases due to the aggressive wastegate duty cycles required for good boost with stock exhaust. Don't do it!

If you have a catted dp, your boost creep problems with the stock turbo will be minimal at worst.
