Default ATTN ALL 2.5i OWNERS!

no longer will we be stuck with LTD options for the 2.5i's

my brother just emailed COBB about a cat-back and this was the response he got...

I apologize, we currently do not offer an exhaust for the 2006 Impreza models. We plan on re-developing some performance options for the Impreza's, including a new cat back, new headers and a new intake for the next summer.

Cheers,
Justin

just so you know cobb is prob one of the slowest developing companys around for well at least use non turbo guys

plus i dont see why theyd have a change in catback theres nothing to change its a couple pipes and amuffler, unless they are gonna make it bigger piping for the 06

and their headers work fine for the 06, cant really design em better, also no one buys em cause they are expensive as hell and not that great quality

i could see intake but dont hold your breath man, be happier with your swap

v8 Killa are you running the OBX cat back? If so where did you buy it from?

piker28 i must agree with you hear, ive been waiting for the N/A ap forever now and i dont see them releasing that anytime soon.

did they even make headers for NA? i looked on their site and nothing.

and as for cat-back its routed the same etc etc but the flange that attaches to the cat is diffrent

EDIT: CHAD W (i thought you said headers,) i got them locally through www.autodream.ca

that would be cool, but as has been mentioned, don't hold your breath. I got the same response last year regarding the AccessPort for the N/A cars, was suppose to be out sept/oct06, see any?? And even taking into account the release of the new APv2, do you see any mention of the N/A APv2? No, nothing, not an update not maybe the summer, nothing.

Also the fact that they are putting a bunch of time into new products for Mitsu/Nissan/infiniti/Mazda, etc would make me think the N/A Suby stuff got pushed down even further on the to-do list.

But I would actually like to thank Cobb for thier product delays. They saved me $700 because I would have pre-ordered the APv2 had it been available, but I got my Tactrix cable today so I'm going to do my own tuning, OpenECU.

posted before me, double info

v8, I was trying to find something for my friends folks to get him for xmas, he has an 06 2.5i and is looking for a good catback. The OBX cat back looks pretty sweet, but its kinda hard to find a vendor.

yeah we all know that COBB takes forever but we can only hope it all goes through

and chad w both these in this link are obx, COBB knock offs but really good for the money. BTW obx and rallitek are litterally the same stuff, even off the same assembly line. so buy from these guys not rallitek its litterally 1/3 the price

obx used to be sold on ebay you can look around for it

also cobb used to have headers, same as your obx design, hence obx copied their design haha, only difference i remembered was that cobbw as mild steel not stainless and you had to pay for some extra coating

LOL! i only called them cobb headers in sarcasm cuz you claimed they were. i shouldve known better then to listen to you cuz this is what ive got...

We've never manufactured our own headers for impreza applications. We will be this spring with the launch of our new line up of impreza parts.

Cheers,
Justin

piker, just cuz it has the COBB name on it does not mean THEY ACTUALLY MADE IT look at rallitek, their cat-backs and headers are obx just re-badged with a 2/3 price increase.

honestly i think theres a whole lot of confusion here, i somewhat missed some of what you said and you thought i meant manufacturing them but cobb did design them and sell them, that is what i meant

I'll have a Civic Si 4-door already broken in before Cobb comes out with another empty promise on the N/A headers/intake products for MY05+! I am ready to put on Borlas just for the sound until I get the urge to buy the Si in a year or two.
