Default Airflow question- advice needed- cobb downpipe

I have a stock 05 WRX and plan to put a Cobb catted downpipe and Borla Hush catback on it soon, and go to Stage 2 on the ECU. I am considering installing a Cobb uppipe, but can't figure out what the tangible benefits would be. Any advice? I have done nothing so far except a short-throw shifter and Stage I ECU flash. General suggestions for getting the most performance, staying quiet, and remaining legal, are definitely welcome!

Isn't there an uppipe FAQ somewhere?

Benefits are earlier spool up, 5-10 HP gains, and no cat to heat up and get eaten by your turbo since you are pushing more power now.
