Default Calling SOA to get my service?

hey,
for two weeks my dealer has had my wrx, i bent two rims and needed new ones. he called me and said that they had to be ordered from japan. i called him again today for an update b/c someone on these forums said they had a couple for sale but my service guy said he wasn't willing to cancel the order.

well, he told me to call subaru (told me he'd call me back in an hour with the number) and ask about status or even try to get them shipped out sooner.

i find this to be unusual and frankly, poor service when he should be doing this/should have done this when he ordered them.

is this standard practice, has anyone else experienced this?

I did have 2 replacements that I sold on here. It took my dealer less than a week. The came from a warehouse. I`m sure that there are plenty over here.

well apparently calling SOA did something b/c service called me back and said he found two wheels from other wisconsin dealers. said he'd have the car done by wed. afternoon at the latest.

speaking of warehouse, yeah according to the person at SOA most dealers work with warehouses rather than other dealers. this could account for service's saying there were no wrx wheels in america, kind of the run around though if you ask me.

If any one is having trouble getting parts from Subaru
e-mail me. I can tell you if any wrehouse or other dealer has them.

FYI, any dealer can cancel any part they have ordered
with no problem or penalty from Subaru as long as it has not been shiped to them yet.
