Default Suby Dude Rotas

Anyone ever buy Rims from SubyDude. I'm wondering what the cost is on duty to out east. I've heard it can get outrageous.

^^there is no doubt he is a good vendor to purchase from, but what the OP wanted to know was is there going to be a lot of duty for it to cross the border?

Your best bet would be to contact Subydude and ask him if he will ship them as a gift, or if he will ship through USPS(canadapost) they dont charge brokerage fees.

I bought rims from Subydude.

His shipping costs (via UPS ground) include all the duty, brokerage and GST. Awesome experience, really helpful and answer your questions through e-mail very quickly, unlike some vendors.

Edit - just checked my records, and it was about $200 US total for the shipping/duty/GST/brokerage for all 4 wheels with tires. Once shipped, the rims and tires took just over a week to get to me, but I'm on the west side of Canada. I dont know how much longer it would be for the rims to get to your location.

Default rims

Thanks guys. Thats what I was looking for. I know their reputation is awesome however I was wondering about the border duty. I think the best bet will be to talk to him after the holidays. He must be really busy cause has not responded as quick with my emails. No biggy, I'm in no rush anyhow. Welcome Snow

I bought rims alone from Subydude and they were sent up to Toronto with no brokerage charges brought upon me as promised by the vendor. What I paypalled him was what I was out of pocket for the rims to my door.

That's not to say that Canada Customs does not consider there to be an exchange of goods and/or services, it's just that the shipping option Subydude uses bills any customs charges/vat back to the shipper/seller and not the consignee/buyer... or so that's my guess.

BTW, I got those rims last summer and no brokerage fees to this day so that takes care of the bill the month after the product arrives at your door.
