Default 2.5L Oil Pan on 2.0L WRX

Been searching for what is required to do the 2.0L to 2.5L oil pan swap. Seems almost TOO straight forward... there has to be more to it... so after searching:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...t=oil+pan+swap

and

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...t=oil+pan+swap

I get a seed of doubt as to what exactly is involved in the swap.

Do the following need to be modified?
- Oil Pickup? Does this need to be modified for the deeper pan?
- Dipstick and guide? Will the markings on my old dipstick be accurate with the new pan?
- Anything else I should be aware of?

I sure as heck dont want oil problems because i missed something. Sorry if this is old news, i've just seen some mixed information on a few threads.

Thanks for your help guys!

The oil pickup is the same but you will need the 2.5 dipstick. Why do you want to change the pans? Headers i assume.

also, what about the baffle? I'm guessing if the oil pickup is ok, the baffle should probably be ok as well?

I am a bit confused. When I swapped my 2.5 block in to replace my 2.0 JDM block I had could not use the 2.5 oil pan. I had to use the 2.0 pan or it would not clear. I also had to use the 2.0 oil pickup tube with the 2.0 pan. The 2.5 would not fit.

A few have successfully swapped the pan in order to do headers. There was a guy a few months ago with a detail write about it.
