Yea but it was a girl driving it!

I'm going to get some exterior mods (bumper, wings, etc.) and some tuning done to the car in the next few months. Then I'll try again to get some attention from subie sport or maybe some ricer mag.

I would go with some ricer mag over subie sport. They lost a lot of readers when they put that pink wheeled car on the cover. I mean great she's a girl driving a STi but it was not that great of a STi. Not cover worthy

Here's a thought, Why are the cars that are on the covers of magazines put there???Because they are different then everybody else's and that makes them standout. Sure some are better looking then others, but the fact remains that if you stand out from the rest(Just like she did with bright pink wheels) you will get noticed and in her case on the cover.

Great looking car... worthy of Subiesport Magazine for sure. If I wore my LWHS sweatshirt (class of 93) could I get my FXT in the mag? Roos reprazent

I'd like to know where you get your info from since we have more and more readers everyday. The issue with Stephanie of the cover was one of our best-selling issues and many people enjoyed in, and enjoyed seeing someone who has the daring and the panache to run with bright pink wheels.

On to my point.

Some cars have it, some don't. A car is more than just a collection of parts and a dollar figure and car show awards that make it special.
There is a certain style and a certain flair that we look for. But we do understand that sometimes it is hard to separate what you think about your car and what others think about it.
We like cars with intent, with a sort of thoughtfulness in the build. In some cases doing something off the wall and unique is what we are after. Other times it is a perfect expression of an ideal or a "mise en scene."

Call it what you want, but sometimes you got it, and sometimes ya don't. We always invite submissions and I love getting people's cars sent to my inbox, but it is not a slam on you if I let it pass by. I get hundreds of submissions every week and I keep them all, but we don't use them all, obviously.
Unlike other "ricer" magazines, you won't see as many "feature" cars in Subiesport. We generally only run two per issue so we try to get the cars that are very special.
What you will see is more tech, more builds and more how-tos along with lots of coverage of Subarus engaged in motorsports.
If we don't cover your car, it does not mean it is not special, it does not mean anything at all, in fact. It just means we did not run it. And that is the end.
I would love to give everyone a "this is why I didn't choose your car" evaluation and some of you have, but there are only so many hours in the day and producing the world's best Sport Compact and Subaru publication, takes just about all the time we as a company have.
So please, keep reading, keep sending submissions and thanks for supporting Subiesport.

I had mine done back in 2004. It was one of the first that LIC did with a JDM motor and passed smog. I kept the original interior and the harness that is in the car now is composed of three harnesses for that setup to work.

While I appreciate the support, I don't think insulting the guys at Subie Sport will help me get in the mag.

Anyway, since I'll probably never make the cut, I thought I'd share the testimony I sent to Mean Editor with the general public. Here is a PM I sent him a while back.

Reasons beside my car that I might be interesting to do a write up on:

-This is my 4th (3rd modified) subaru
-I work indirectly for Subaru Rally Team USA (website / photography) and Rally America (their whole online registration system = me).
-I've always taken charge in VT (which I just moved from) to make gatherings for turnouts such as this despite being the 2nd smallest state in the US.
-I ice race.
-I rallyx.
-I autox.
-I drag race.
-I do/organize small track events.
