Default ABQ subaru service and uk wheels question

Does anyone have subaru mechanic they can recommend? I'm about to aquire a '99 outback sport in need of some work but not sure i want to pay out the nose at garcia even though i like their service. Any advice?

Also, what are the 2002 UK wrx wheels (5 double spoke) called, where can you get them, and about how much do they run?

Thanks in advance for advice

I assume by ABQ you mean new mexico. most the people that post in SWIC are from arizona. i dont know any local forums for your are but someone may be able to recomend one. as far as those wheels, i think you are talking about JDM v7 wheels. check JDMpartstx.com they have a set that is in transit and you could email them and see how much they are going for. hope that helps at least a little

UK wheels are different from V7 Goldies.

There is a local forum, Racingsouthwest, which would be ok if it wasnt over run with street racers....there isn't a whole lot of technical discussion at all, and the only time most people talk about Subies it wanting to challenge an STi to a roll on race on the freeway.

What kind of work are you needing done Turkey?

Thanks for the responses, guys. Hey Josh, this is Tim, I've got the '05 black GT. I know you work for Garcia but are there any other Subaru repair shops that the guys in the club use? As for the wheels, those are almost them, but not quite. In pictures I've seen, the spokes are slightly wider and run parallel, in pairs. (if that makes sense) They seem to have made them in silver AND bronze?

Hey Crawdads. Well, I"m thinking of buying a 99 Outback Sport, but it needs a tune-up, new struts and brakes to start with. I'd also like to adjust the clutch as it's got a super high friction point. After that it could use fog lights, new rims and tires. I haven't purchased it yet as I'm also looking at an '02. But I'm trying to get an idea of the costs and such.
