At the track ill launcha t seven but you have to know what your doing and how to drop it slowly, but to slow that you ride the clutch too long and burn it. You know you did it ride if the car has a smooth take off with no jurking and you don't smell clutch(suby cluths smell like rotten eggs

Like I said you have to how to launch without being hard on the tranny. easy on the clutch to jurking and your tranny will be fine. trannys will last a long time if you know how to drive. Actually its at six in the TR, seven when im drivin my friends 02. Nevertheless 06 TR has a legacy tranny and it is much stronger than 05 or before( Ihave heard this is not true so I may be wrong about the legacy part).

They are glass but its what he wanted me drop it at. It was his track car and didn't much care about it so did what I could to put down a good time. But the TR can handle it if done correctly. I used to do it at 4 just for practice and slip the clutch lightly and then did it at 6000

justin, u do realize that if the dealership finds out u have been at the track even once, it voids ur drivetrain warranty...and the "dealership" now knows, thats y we usually dont talk about the track much. if u break something and the dealership warranties it, and then joe blow does the same but has an attitude, and doesnt get his covered, he then see's this forum as leverage, and the fishman can get in trouble, thats why he is obligated to decline warranty coverage if u do break something whether it be on the street or the track. so just a heads up, keep stuff like that hush hush, BUT do not try to lie to the dealership, they will see right thru it
we are good like that ![]() |
