Default P and PGT Rally rules about Catalytic converter. Need help

Ok just to clarify the point made in the SCCA Rally Rulebook for P and PGT Classes.

Article 10.2.F.15
This states "the exhaust system is unrestricted"....."A functioning catalyitic converter must be retained or installed."
So for us subies who have about ten on our cars. ha ok anyways. For us subie owners with a 98-2001 rs having 2 cats can we remove one. All it states is that we need "A" and not all cats from the production line.

If someone can clarify that for me that would be great.
Thanks
Aaron

Default cats

a cat is required... that's all.
Mine had none when built, one was installed before the last event by the previous owner and it was non-sube. Passed visual test - OK.

It probably means unrestricted in the sense that you can modify whatever you want. Not in the sense of unrestricted exhaust flow.

So the meaning of the rule (as I gather) is you can do whatever you want to the exhaust system as long as there is a catalytic converter somewhere in there

Thats what it sounded like to me. it said its unrestricted except it needs to have a cat not all stock cats. so ill go as that and take one out. I just have to figure out who will build the pipe for me.
