Have a Nice Day? Another problem with hybrid thread

So my car started run like **** all of the sudden. I have a P0172 code system too rich and get p0301 a misfire code in cylinder #1.

Now im not making this thread asking for help but if you want o chime in, your more then welcome to. I'm simply making this thread to help others out, say they run into something similar. I will post what I have done to diagnosis the problem.

Things that need to be done or checked?

1) Spark Plugs (Changed to copper with 1000 miles on the block, .30 gap, will recheck gap and for fouling.)
2) Compression Check (cyclinder 1 was at 165 2-3 months ago, the others were 2-175, 3 -180, 4-175.)
3) Pressure Test (to check for leaks, vacuum hoses and what not)
4) Leak down test

Did you change the cams when you did the swap?

Spark plugs look good double checked the gap.
Compression is good 1-3-2-4 = 160-170-170-175.

I think i have figured out what the problem was. So far its been 4 days and no CEL. I had been running the UTEC in OPEN LOOP from 0 TPS. I have since changed it to 25% TPS and it seems to have cleared everything up. We will see what happens in the upcoming days.

Isn't the compression on 1 a little low compared to the others?

Yes you are right, But it always has been low. It been the same since day one. I think it maybe due to a valve or something. But it still is in a good range.

Yes it is still in a good range. Can't wait until I do mine but it'll be a while.
