hey guys, next time you flat tow the car, put the keys in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position. idiots.

I hope I'm not the only one crying from laughter on this.

IMO they deserve it for being dumb and not leaving it the key in the ON position.
They were also pretty slow on honking the horn...
stupid LR3 driver should have been looking back.

You'd better read the owner's manual, especially if it's an automatic. Some 5spd models can be towed 4 down in neutral. Maybe some automatics. Some automatics can disconnect the center diff with a fuse and can be towed front wheels up.

RTFM.

Edit: watched video. Idiots.

So is that why they require rally cars to have the steering wheel lock mechanism disabled?

This video has nothing to do with AWD and everything to do with the steering wheel locking when you don't have the key in the ignition.

Exactly. You can tow any vehicle with all four wheels on the ground (if you have someone inside steering), it's only when you raise two wheels that it screws up your AWD.

That might have something to do with high speeds and fear of a engine malfunction which may result in the car locking up. Also, they probably have a heavily modified ignition system so that might just get passed by and deleted as an extra safety precaution.

But that's just a guess.

-1 for the tower not paying attention. They were off road for way too long with that kind of traffic.

Also, was that a GC? From turn signal looks weird. Not a bugeye and it didn't look like a Peanut eye.
EDIT: Interior explains it. Did they make a STI in other countries before 2002? Or is that just a improperly titled video?

It was a 22B

(or look alike, GC8) Yes there were STis in the rest of the world (this seems to be in England) before the USA.

I know that, but were there "STi" branded GCs?
