Smile Good morning all..

Good morning. Just waiting around for the UPS, USPS, and Fedex trucks to come visit me with goodies. I hate waiting for the mod components to show up! Saw a white RS with silver Superturismo's in downtown Mill Creek pulling out of an apartment parking lot across from the downtown strip. Anyone know who this was?

Dave

Angry

Got my second wing from Primitive today.
10 inch long crack and gaping hole in the side. Not enough packing and too small of box. Well maybe the third will be ok. I hope. Paul was nice about it, and the third one will be here Friday.

Talking

Me too!

My 20mm STi rear bar is supposed to be here today. Yay, my first real mod! (it's been long enough...) It's raining down here too. I can hardly wait to get the bar on and see how it slides... Mmm, slippery...

AllWheelsDriven:

I have heard that it was the best bang for the buck mod (along with tires) since right after I got the car in October of '98. I finally decided to get it when subaruparts.com's price went to less than $90 with shipping. Slips below the wife cost radar that way...

Dang.
I can't wait till I get my subie. I only have to wait about 8-9 weeks before I will have all the necessary monies together. Having a hard time deciding on the color though.

Question

david,
how much are you paying for those electra L wheels? i've never seen them in the US for under $1k each. seems awfully steep when high quality forged wheels can be had for about half that.

also, why are you using carbon brake pads? is this a race-only car?

I am paid $2950 for all 4 new. This includes 4 Gold Electra-L 17 X 7 with the Carbon Fiber STi/BBs logo center caps and BBS logo SS valvestems and lugnuts all including shipping.

Also got 4 kumho 712s 215/45WR-17 mounted and ballanced.

Total shipped $3280 I think it's quite a deal. Since everyone else wanted $5000

I do not like the look of any other rim. I want a simple look. Syms is close but They don't come in gold. I still don't like them as well.

The brake pads are for the street and should not need any warmup. At least thats whaat KVR says???

Unhappy

No deliveries again.

Looks like my Strömung SS Single Tip from WRXGirl GB is going to be 3-4 more weeks so I canceled the order. I ordered the Brospeed stainless steel cat back system for $396 from subaruparts. It's quieter but thats ok.

Question

david,
have you tried www.spdusa.com or direct from stromung for your exhaust? you might have better luck.

where did you get those wheels so cheaply? i'll be cancelling 2 wheel orders i just placed if the electras can be had in a reasonable timeframe.

Oh I did forget to say were I got them didn't I.

I got them from Chris at TRi Tuning.

He said they take about 4-6 weeks depending on how long customs sits on them.

Well here it is morning again. Boy I love getting up at 4am for work. Hmmm, wonder what will show up on the doorstep today?? Sure was disapointing yesterday to watch the UPS truck drive right by the house without stopping.

Also, Anybody in the Seattle area that is looking for brake pads. The KVR CF pad GB is just 70-80 sets short of the 300 sets needed. Price is $72 for the F&R + shipping. If anyone wants in maybe we can have them sent to one address and save on shipping?? Please sign up for this GB. Could have a gettogether like breakfast some weekend to bull*****, eat, and distribute the pads.
