nice!

so you have it but you havent tried it out yet???

I would be using it all the time, but then again my driving doesnt = most others.

Very interested in something like this possibly for my Legacy GT. Also have a 95 RA coupe and a 94 usdm wrx sedan that i could possibly throw it on.

I ran a Link Plus for a while on my wagon WRX with ALS for testing. Bitch to get idle working properly, I think it was a firmware issue as it had troubles with the TGV's I think. Also I didn't have the Link serial option, which made editing maps via the handheld a pain. Requires lots of testing and setup. I had to manually crack open the throttle plate to get it to idle via a screw, you could install a servo on a switch if it was a permanent install. Great fun to see other peoples faces. I liked the Links arming feature so you could turn it on and off.

It's not kind to your front o2, turbo, headers and exhaust valves etc and make sure you are obviously catless and EGT probe less as it likes to eat these for breakfast.

ALS was great stupid fun on my other car. Bangin and poppin made it sound "special." Especially nice for night time action with copious flame from the tail pipe.

However, it was not really necessary on my FWD car because the traction was the problem anyway. With ALS the turbo spooled at the launch to a PSI level that much more than the rest of the car was equipped to handle in my case.

Now that I have AWD, and could benefit from ALS, I dont have it any more

But, ALS is a lot of fun and did no damage as long as it's used sparingly, not every day.

Yeah Im a bit worried about using it since one its not tuned and Im not really in a position to break something and pay for it at the moment.

I do however use the 2 Step launch control ocassionaly, I have it set very mild at 4,000 rpm and it builds about .5 bar boost and then as soon as you start to let out on the clutch a little it shoots up to full boost and it goes like crazy.... I know this could break something also but I put most of the abuse into the clutch... Its much cheaper than a new transmission.
