Default supension ideas/95

The first thing I plan on tackling for my Legacy project is the supension. The other day I was down at the Subaru dealership talking to the parts guy about different things and he happened to have a set of slightly used kyb gr-2 struts for the rear only lying around. He let me pick them up for only $20!
After that he showed me an article in Subie Sport about a Legacy build they are doing. They used late model RS coilovers. So for the fronts I was thinking about getting a set of oem RS struts or WRX. I'm looking for something a little stiffer than stock. From what I've read the gr-2s are a bit stiffer but still ride nice.
Now what are my options for springs? Again I am looking for something a bit more aggresive than stock but not nessasarilly lowered. How would STI springs fit? Any other suggestions on parts is welcome this is just what I've got in my head so far. Thanks

You should be able to use anything from the impreza/wrx. We are using coilovers that we had on our 2005RS and they bolt right in. I think the endlinks from WRX/Impreza are pretty much the same, at least they are in the rear. We are using whiteline sway bars as well and they work great.
Read through that article, it should give you some ideas.

Thanks for the input fellas,,, i ended up just picking up some napa struts today. I would've liked to upgrade a little bit more but I had a 180 gift certificate to napa from Xmas and they didnt have any other parts i was looking for at all. But with some decent springs (I've read good things about whiteline in a couple posts so I think thats what it'll be), oem front struts and gr-2s in the rear, I'm sure it will handle better than my bouncy eclipse with more roll than you can put on a bread plate.

man, it doesn't get much better than that. if you want something a bit firmer, OEM STi parts work too, as long as you get the '04 stuff. '05 springs will work with '04 top hats and struts, but i think the bolt pattern on the '05 rear hats is different (this is just what i've been told, i don't know for sure about the bolt pattern). i know that the '05 springs will work because i test-fitted some '05 STi springs on my '04 struts and hats.

i've been reading that front strut bars for a GC impreza will work, as will rear strut bars from a GD impreza (talking about the upper strut bars here). end links are pretty much universal from GC imprezas and early GD. not entirely sure about which sways will work though, cause i haven't checked it much myself.

MeanEditor, how many features have been published about project Legay GT so far? i've been trying to follow it, but it's really hard to get Subiesport in my area sometimes (i know, i know, SUBSCRIPTION! )

I just took a set of H&R Sport springs off my 97 GT. I REALLY liked them (w/ KYB AGXs) but the car was bottoming out on the rallycross course so I put stock springs back in. Make an offer if you are interested.
