Default 06 & 07 wrx wheels

Hi there,

I'm fairly new here, and to subarus, about 2 years. I own a 97 LGT and just finished swapping in an EJ20G using my stock intake manifold and ECU. I'm running the Perfect Power SMT6 to make it all work. This all came to be after calling Rallitek in Portland inquiring about a USDM wrx swap. This was Sean's solution to a Budget DIY swap without having to swap in a wiring harness. I would show some pics, but it says I'm not allowed to post attachments.

Anyways - My question - Does anyone have a picture of a GT sedan with 06 or 07 wrx 7 spoke wheels on it. I'm thinking of buying a set, but just have to see them on the car first.

I also just finished painting my car in my Garage/poor man's paint booth, and it is Glacier white. I shaved the emblems off and color matched the skirt. So any help would be appreciated, and also some help to post some pics would be cool too. Thanks!

I'm kinda thinking I might want to trade my BBS RK's for another set in the spring...such a good looking wheel.

Hey thanks for the replies. Those wheels look awesome! I think that is the route I want to go. It is good to be here, and I will have to make some more posts so I can put up a couple pics of my car, and the engine bay.

I loved the body style of the BD since the first time I saw it. I actually have had quite a few different cars before going Subaru. My last car was a 5.0 mustang, but after moving to an area with lots of snow, I started looking at AWD. My brother got a 97 LGT from a friend, and always wanted my mustang. He ended up trading me the Legacy and some cash for the stang. I overhauled the 2.5 for piece of mind, and then got the itch for more POWER! You know how this one goes. So six months after starting the project, I actually finished, and the car runs awesome. I tuned it on the road with Sean at Rallitek, and then we finished tuning it on the Dyno at Torque FREAKS in Portland. It put down 147 HP and 159 ft lbs of torque. I thought it would do more, but I guess you lose some through the auto tranny and AWD system. Sean said the numbers are consistent with a stock WRX. With the stock VF10 turbo, it only put out 13 PSI before making more heat than power, so we stopped there. Future plans are supension, and maybe a 5 speed swap. Thanks again for the pics, and I will post some suspension questions to get some pics up.

More info on the swap (parts used and such) and maybe a cost estimate? You should have enough posts by now. Then get your pics hosted on www.imageshack.us or similar. then all you need is the link to the picture, surround that link with

Well here are the details of my "budget swap". I bought a JDM EJ20G complete with turbo and injectors just like you see on Ebay all the time. Sean at RalliTek said to just use the long block and put my intake and sensors on it, and use the Perfect Power SMT6 piggy back computer to tune it and make it work. This way I wouldn't have to swap the whole engine harness from the donor car, or use the JDM ECU. There were a few things that had to be done to make the Intake work though. It really did just bolt right on, but the IAC was right next to the inlet to the turbo, where on the JDM manifold, it is on the other side. I basically had to just get creative to make sure the IAC had metered air, the PCV was hooked up ect. It wasn't hard, it just took a little thought and time. The other trick was the three main engine harness connectors used to hook up right where the turbo was now going to be, so I just cut each wire and soldered in an 18 inch extension. This allowed me to snake that wiring away from the turbo, and plug it in. I used an aftermarket wrx exhaust off ebay (full stainless 3" with the bellmouth downpipe), and modified it to work. I added about three inches to the down pipe, and some length to the middle pipe, moved some hangers around in the back, and it worked fine. I used the injectors off the JDM motor, and put in a walbro 255. The intercooler was off an 03 wrx, and I trimmed about a quarter inch off the outgoing side to gain some room to the firewall. I wired up the PP6 to my ECU, and the car idled pretty good. I towed the car to Portland on a trailer, and Sean hooked me up with the tune. Very very reasonable for their services! They got the car running perfect! Well I will try to post some pics. Let me know if you have any questions.[/IMG] this is the car on the dyno at Torque FREAKS in Portland, right down the road from RalliTek. The total cost of the project including everything, gas to portland everything, was about $3,000.

I am interested. I bought this one off e-bay and it said it was for the bd, and it looked like it fit the shape, but when I tried it, it was a little short. What car would mine fit on? Do you have a pic of the one you have?
