Question 02-05 wrx cai on an 07 will it work?

what if any mods would have to be made in order to make it work? or is it not possible? sorry to sound like such a noob but i found a killer deal and id like to take advantage.

id appriciate some direction to other threads on the subject. if there out there.

READ UNABOMBERS MANIFESTO, Intakes have very little effect on our cars, unless you tune for them. Save your cash. Stock intake is good for more HP than most people want. By the way, update your profile please.

kthxbye

It will work just as poorly as it does on an 02-05 WRX, if that's a good answer. And QUIT POSTING in the technical forums until you read the FAQs at the top of the forum. Your post just clogged the 2.5L forum with stuff that has been asked 98,998 times before.....be more considerate next time. Got a dumb question? Next time post it where this is getting moved.

Dont get ONE!!! Spend the money on a TBE and Accessport. If you MUST have one go with the K&N Typhoon or SPT both or which are proven not to mess with the maf reading. Thus they will not throw your AF ratio off.

Even if it does, are you not getting that it is the WRONG THING TO DO?!

I have not heard a single aftermarket exhaust that could pass as "professional".

SPT or Prodrive would work because they are really quiet. Even the Borla Hush though is relatively loud...thats what I have.

If you haven't already, do EM first then get an aftermarket DP. If you want to stay quiet keep the stock catback.

That's all entirely dependent on what TBE you use. You could be REALLY loud or close to stock.

ok, so maybe professional wasnt the best word of choice. im just lookin for something a lil better/louder than the stock sound. i wanna be able to keep it some what quiet when i need to. but when i want it to be a lil louder i just need some rpm's.

Hit up some meets in your area and see what different exhausts sound like.

To add to that, an aftermarket DP will slightly increase in cabin noise (you will hear the spool a little better). You could also do the snorkus delete. This won't really be "exhaust" sound though, just engine sound. For more exhaust sound, get a catback. Just remember that if you put an aftermarket DP on an 07 WRX you NEED EM.

Which reminds me, FILL OUT YOUR PROFILE!
