No worries, sorry about the Porsche, hope the fix isn't brutal. Hopefully we get to go back and you can run COTA with the backwards Subaru.

No worries, I borrowed a friend's GT3 for the afternoon session on Sunday so I got a good, dry run in. I also got a lot of rides with students. Lots of laps. The weekend was a complete success. I just hope the car is fixed in time for MSR Houston in two weeks.

What'd you do to it?

What color is your RS? We should get together sometime while I still have my RS.

Blown coolant press fitting. Made an epic cloud of steam and suffered an impressive spin in turn 15, but thankfully no walls or other cars were affected. I'm getting Callas to weld and pin all the coolant fittings and also rebuilding the LSD and switching to solid engine mounts while we've got the engine out.

I thought the 997 fixed the coolant hose issue?

Glad to see you didn't lose the car or get hurt.

Impressive spins are the trademark of a 911 though, be proud you are keeping the heritage alive.

I use to race a few of the older 911's when they were air cooled. It takes a mix of confidence and talent but it adds to the fun. If it isn't hard why try it. I'm sorry about your gt3 rs she is a beautiful car and I hope she gets fixed in time. To me (and I am just speaking for me and others can feel free to hate) the late model gt3 rs is the one 911 that feels correct.

They're still using press fittings, which can still come loose, unfortunately. And the RS is capable of some beautiful powerslides.

BTW, I'm MacNugget's girlfriend, I also track the RS, and I was driving our WRX for its first laps around COTA. It was the fourth car on track that morning, and probably the first to have brake fade!

And while I'm at it, saw a white STI (I think? Poor memory) with roof racks on Bagby, southbound, waiting for the light at Capitol on my way to work today (a touch before noon).

There is a white legacy wagon that rolls around town here. I have seen a few times, usually goign the opposite direction of me.
Black wheels and rally mudflaps, amber fog lights and a Cobb decal on the back.
Looks nice. And its nice to see it not being driven like a soccer mom car!
I think its a younger guy that drives it.

I saw two white wrxs today!

One was on east beltway 8 getting off on the wallisville exit. Looked to be the last body style sti(06-08ish maybe) with a vanity plate saying opus or something. Had an aftermarket single exit exhaust, invidia maybe.

The second was in the eagle springs subdivision leaving lifetime fitness. It was a regular stock wrx newer model. 2011-13 maybe. Driver was sporting a large gotee.

I was in an 09 dark grey metallic/black foz with gold rims.

Anyone on here?
Theres not too many around these parts so it was rare to see 2!
