Or providing a vent path for some of the turbulent air from the front wheel wells, which is a common trick to improve front end aero? Admittedly, it's not in the best position for that, but it's not LOLish to think a vent there can be useful.

Yeah, I would think that vent is really high for any sort of wheel well escape...

a few comments...

1. The side vent is cool.
2. The wheels are NOT my favorite.
3. The hood scoop and front grille are nice.
4. The front fog lights need to be bigger.
5. I amd not a fan of wings/spoilers on cars (as they are way overdone these days), but this car actually deserves one. It would balance the other race-looking parts nicely!

Possibly the side air vents MIGHT allow some of the air entering the engine compartment to be ducted out and away from the back of the motor / windsheild area, and allow for greater air flow through the radiator ? (in order for this to work some additional duct work modifications would need to be made inside the engine compartment itself).

From a styling perpective I dont really like it, but it might serve as some sort of a useful purpose.

The grille is connected to the engine bay. It would allow some heat to escape.

That is one sick looking legacy.

A nice large lip spoiler or short wing would look right at home on the back there.

You know what? I bloody agree with you!

I would really prefer a black .... but lazy bones like me will spoil the color real fast.

This is how a black LGT would look like with the grille.

My .2 cents...
That is one sick setup! Definetely cool that the vents are actually functional, and those brakes are wicked!

My suggestion(s)...
A flat black apron around the hood scoop, slightly exagerated around the front
Flat black hood scoop
A nice deep red paint job or maybe a light smoked silver to go with the wheels
A very conservative spoiler would balance things out a bit

Are you nuts? That paint is sooo beautiful. I wouldn't flat black anything on the exterior of that car.
