Default Running a GREEN w/stock 06 WRX fuel parts?

So I called Cobb and asked them if it would be ideal to run a FP Green with stock 06 WRX fuel mods. They said that since the 06 came with bigger injectors and a bigger pump it would be OK. I guess I was just looking for a little more input on this matter. Im not really looking for 400AWHP, just a nice conservative tune to put me around 300-325AWHP.

Thanks

why spend the money on a green if you only want 300-325whp when you could have easily got that with a 18G-20G....do yourself a favor and grab some bigger injectors so you can maximize your power.

that and a fuel pump, a walbro 255 is only 100 bucks.
and yes a 20g will get you were you want to be with quicker spool than the green.

At least the fuel pump will need to be changed.

But why get a green and not upgrade the injectors and intercooler to at least get yourself your money's worth?

I got the green for a steal. I already have a upgraded TMIC and was thinking of getting a bigger fuel pump. I think my injectors will do for now, Im a little tapped due to buying the turbo and intercooler!

Then I would definitely plan on a fuel pump now and a retune later when you can get some bigger injectors.

This is a question for your tuner.

Exactly. NASIOC advice is helpful and very informative, but when it comes to injectors, your tuner is the only person who knows how well he or she can tune certain setups, brands or sizes.

If the setup is tuned appropriately, then it will just not reach max potential but should do absolutely no damage to the engine.

Untuned is another story.

if you only want 300-320WHP..get an IHI 39 or 34 turbo or the Greddy 18G...you can do it with that...with on a Walbro 255 pump upgrade

Thanks for the help. I plan on having the tuner install the turbo right before the tune. I will be more than happy with a conservative tune (Im not trying to go crazy). Like I said 300-325 HP will be more than enough for me. Plus, maybe its best not to push the stock tranny that hard!! I think I will be happy going from 185whp to 325whp............fine by me, Im not greedy (maybe later though)

I could have got a 39 or 34, but I got the green for 600 bucks with 5k miles on it. Plus its good to have that caged animal feeling in your car.....if you know what i mean!

i think on stock injectors it could be possible to get 300whp on a conservative tune.

if your gonna go all out, save up and dont rush yourself. do everything right the first time around so you wont leave anything on table and it will save you some money in the long run.

Why not go for peace of mind and get a Walbro pump for $100 and modded stock injectors (~$160 if you have someone else do it)?
