You want to buy a wing FROM a Legacy? Or...FOR a Legacy? What car is this going on?

Yeah, you've gotta be a little more picky than what you've stated...trunklids on different gen legacys are different sizes.

I was looking at their dimentions and they are all different than an STI. So none of the holes will fit anyway as far as mounting it on. If I were to pick it would have to be the 99ish style. I don't really know what the widths will matter until I see it on I guess.

Unless the Legacy is wide enough that you can't mount it on the STi trunklid. I dunno.

Why not a WRX wing instead? (I guess it's a bad question, I'm sure you've posed it to yourself)

I don't think a Legacy spoiler would really flow well with the STi...

yea i kinda agree, i think the best bet is to swap trunks w/ a wrx owner. I dont see the legacy one looking very good, maybe someone can do a chop?

I made some measurements a while back. 90-94 trunks/spoilers are about 51.75" and 95-99 trunks/spoilers are 48.5" wide

what I was kind of going for is the old RS look with the coupe wing look, since I am not sure about wingless (with the window rear window spoiler). Just not as tall as the RS. I sold my 01 RS and liked the wing on it. My wife had a 05 RS with a wing very close looking to a legacy I am sure I can find that wing since it came from the dealer. I was just thinking it would be easier to get a legacy wing instead of hunting down one from the dealer and paying up the A$$ for it as well.

There's always a couple kicking around eBay.

I also know some members like to knock the rear spoiler of their GT to change the look...You might want to contact sleeper20t as I know he's done this.

I don't think I am going to try it. Apparently I have 17 hold drilled in my trunk to hold my wing on. I will have to fill and repaint it anyway. So it's not really worth the effort I don't think.

Many of the regional forums have "stickied" STi Trunk swaps in their "private for sale" forums. These sort of swaps are more common than you might think.

I have kind of been looking around for a trunk to play with. Maybe buying a trunk and legacy wing and play with it until I get what I want then sell my origional trunk and wing.

OK the quest is back on! I think I found a wingless trung in my color. So now all I need to find is a wing from a legacy....
