And I am coming up on it and I do have a cel still Clark was not able to tune it out, it is the rear sensor with cat efficincey - he thinks the sensor might be bad / burnt out, I think I will put the stock cat back on reset and see if it stays gone - Good luck with your emissions, oh yeah other than what mods you are running, which cel code(s) do you get?

You can try it. I had the o2 extender that seemed to delay it some. it seems to vary by car and exhaust. i was able to keep mine off for weeks at a time by not driving for extended amounts of time at light throttle loads. basically, if I was on the freeway, i just varied the gas as I drove and that seemed to keep it at bay long enough to get tested. the trick is, when you clear the code, the system takes several drive cycles to get to "readiness" so even if the code is gone, the car still may not pass.

KNow anyone with an OBD scan tool you can borrow? Checker sells one for about $70. It shows "ready" "not ready" and "fail"

There's always the stock exhaust...

if your car is fairly new then all you have to worry about is the CEL in az. right?

Yep. OBDII (95/96 or newer) is just a plug in ordeal. Took about 10 mins when I went in my 01.

In my Evo, I stacked mechanical fixes until it stayed away permanently. I had the brass Helix one (from Gruppe-S) but it eventually threw the code. I added an undrilled piece from the Help! brand (just one) that's in the stores before the brass one, and it has been off for 10k miles.

So it goes:

Exhaust -> Help! -> Brass Helix -> 02 sensor = Golden
