Default alternator belt tensioner broke

what should i do, it actually broke about a month ago, but it was tight enought hat the belt isnt slipping, but i need toget it fixed regardless..

the top broke where you tighten the bolt and guide the tensioner up..

doesnt look like it can be welded, looks like pot steel

What should i do?

I can have pics tomorrow

Go buy a new one at the dealership. I had to do this as well. You'll just have to get someone else to drive you there. Call ahead to make sure they have it in stock.

Send a PM to Snowflake!

I heard he knows a thing or two about broken belt tensioners.

It cost a few bucks if I remember right, less than $10.
