Cool monkiboy's 08 wrx build: EFR7670 twin-scroll full-race jdm-goodness build!!

just wanted a place to save my thoughts, progress, modifications, photos, etc. i'm going to try to start taking more photos and videos to update this thread with as time goes on. unfortunately, i'm probably starting this too late but i'd rather start now than never. i really appreciate all the support i've received through this site and a few key members. figured if even one person benefits from my tribulations and trials, then this thread is worth while.

i've been trying to source the liberal albero aero for my car for a while. it's the cleanest and nicest design available for our GH/GE cars. retail from a few specialty importer shops put you around $1900 for just the front bumper cover. i've gotten pretty good sourcing jdm parts but have only seen one used that was available to import and that was not too much better on price. i had an opportunity about 2.5 years ago but decided i would focus my attention on the build and allowed some other lucky duck in Hong Kong pick it up.

rallitek imported a new complete aero (front, rear bumper covers, and grill) about four or five years ago for their previous shop car and refused despite my persistent attempts, to part the liberal parts out.

there are only four cars in the US with this kit. all of them hatches. the rear bumper cover is designed for hatches.

a couple weeks ago, an opportunity to partner up with a new contact emerged and out of it came forth another chance to import the entire kit. it would not be able to be parted out but if i played my cards right, i could snag the whole thing at a great deal. seeing how rare the chance was, i would not let it go again.

so within a couple weeks and hopefully with minimal issues at customs i will be the proud owner of a liberal albero aero kit.

i will obviously be keeping the grill and front bumper cover.

i do not have any use for the rear as it is designed for the hatch.

if you are interested in a truly ULTRA ULTRA rare authentic albero rear bumper cover for your hatch (08-10), let me know

i was thinking of going to a scoopless hood or a custom carbon fiber painted modified scoopless with vents. i have considered once i got nadia back on the road, maybe it'd be good to get her a custom paint job seeing how i have a grill and front bumper cover to paint with the hood anyway. it might be the most opportune time. any colors (blue'ish) that would stand out, look sexy, and mean as hell without being overdone?

here is the kit before packaging. she's got some battle scars from troublesome roads in japan but nothing a body shop pro can't fix easily - ridiculously excited!!

it'll be so nice to actually have a proper opening for the FMIC, to install such a rare piece, and have a subtle more aggressive look that allows use of the STI lips on the car.
