Default Please help me Price my 04 STI

Well after looking into shipping my car to the Czech republic. I can't find a way to justify it. They hit you with a 38% import tax on the value of the car. Also since we will be living in the city not sure I want to deal with parking and vandalism. Anyway I am not really sure what I should be pricing the car at for sale so thought I would ask for some opinions here. The car is a 2004 STI with 62K miles on it. It has been in 2 accidents in it's lifetime both excellently repaired by Amherst Street collision in Nashua. The car has never had any Drive line frame damage an tracks totally true. It feels as tight today as when I drove it off the lot. I have never had any issues with the car and have always used Mobil 1 oil in it. The car has the Tein Flex Coil Over setup installed with the EDFC. It also has the TurboXS Turbo back exhaust with the RFL muffler. I have the complete stock exhaust as well. Typically I swap the Stock Axle back in for the winter months. This car won the most bling award at the Nashua Subaru show in fall 2005. This was entirely do to the amazing sound system and it's lower appearance and 18" wheels.

No time to do so. I have to have my whole house sorted out 2 cars sold and everything we have in a 3500 sqft house dealt with in 4 weeks. Not to mention I don't have the stock parts or the time to find them. How about 24k with everything? Seem like it is worth it?

With two accidents and 62k on the clock, I'd still say it would be worth around $20k~ even with the extras. Good luck with your house stuff!

as what i learned from earlier experience, mods really do not mean to much when it comes to selling a car. If you had more time parting out the aftermarket parts would be the best deal but since you dont have time thats gonna be a loss on your part.

62,xxx miles, 2 accidents, id say the car is worth maybe 20,xxx.

I would say around 20,000 would be a pretty fair price

look on autotrader there are over like 10 currently on there with between 30-40k miles no accidents for 21-22k, id work your price around that. id say less than 20k with accident history no one really wants to buy a car for 20k thats been in 2 accidents, just my personal opinion... i wouldnt buy it even if it was 17k. but like i said thats my personal opinion and i dont like accident history cars.

Heres what has worked best for me, go to the kelly blue book web site and go through the steps to "sell your car". That is going market price and a good place to start. Then you can take any aftermarket parts and theres room for negotations. Just remeber, you are not going to get 100% return on part, more like 50%.
Nice looking car, good luck.

The reality of selling a used car is that all aftermarket parts LOWER the value of the car. So will the car being in 2 accidents.

The only time that doesnt apply is when you find a specific buyer that is interested in said parts, which is usually rare.

Take them off and sell them, and sell the car stock and you will unquestionably make more money in the end.

When i traded my WRX in the dealer was so interested in getting the car stock (and not lowered like it was) they actually uninstalled the aftermarket springs and gave them back to me at no charge.

Modified vehicles scare buyers, especially when talking about cars like the STi where people are already weary about the car being abused even if its stock. They see mods and think I wonder what else he did to it...

Just my $0.02

oh and btw www.kbb.com is a great place to look. same with www.nada.com
