Default Did a few 3rd gear pulls on my 03 WRX if you guys want to see :) *LOGS

This forum doesnt have many posts... so, i might as well post my log up for some of you bored people to look at and compare if you want.

Going to be adding my Perrin Panel filter on monday and flash OSECU Stage 2. I'll also post those logs here for comparison.

Mods as of 1/6/07: ERZ UP, ERZ DP, Borla Hush, Stock ECU

you re looking good.
Pretty normal no KC jumpin.
No Negative KC
about 0.9 bar of boost (abit low for this cold weather with exhaust modification you have)
Max Maf of about 200 g/sec
IAM straight 16
Max Engine Load of 4.3 (again concur with your a bit low of boost)
EGT is abit low also at 1200F max, may be because stock Fuel Map is very rich.....

Let the good time begin with Stg2!!!

5600	12.03
6800	6.79
my runs kind of hit that target, swerve down a bit, then moves slightly back up to 13.7. Like on run 2, at 3028RPM, it hit 15.5psi and then went down immediately to 11.6 and then climbed back up towards the 13.7 target from 3400-4600. What does it mean when it does that?

No Negative KC
about 0.9 bar of boost (abit low for this cold weather with exhaust modification you have)
Max Maf of about 200 g/sec
IAM straight 16
Max Engine Load of 4.3 (again concur with your a bit low of boost)
EGT is abit low also at 1200F max, may be because stock Fuel Map is very rich.....

Let the good time begin with Stg2!!!
Did you even *look* at the logs?

Look at the huge decrease in timing from pull 1 to pull 2. Now look at the 9* of timing in pull 2.

KC is jumping, and IT reflects it.

You most likely overshot the boost and the PID loop will reduce the WGDC to reign in the boost and then allow it back to setpoint. Basically it oscillates. Tuning the PID loop and the WGDC will help this.

If your WGDC is maxing out, then tighten your WG arm to hit your target.

above what % would you consider a WGDC to be maxing out?

I hit 15.5psi at 89% in 2nd gear, which seems to be the highest psi for those 2 runs. Should i tighten my WG arm? Which also means shorten?

Curious, what software are you using for logging?

It's hard to tell what is going on, from your logs. Your KC is all over the place so without referencing your timing and Kc maps, I can't tell if you're knocking or not. My experience comes from 93 oct so I could be off on this but 9 degrees of timing at 4.4 load at 3800 RPMs seems a little low. I can't tell if your map calls for this ir if the ECU pulled timing. Is this all you can do with 91oct or has this section not been changed yet?

BTW, do you have a non-stock EGT setup linked to the ECU? If not, those numbers are not indicative of the actual temps. I'm guessing here but I think they're the readings from the stock EGT probe. From what I have seen on a fellow WRX owner's car with similar fueling and timing to my setup, the actual temps are about 200 degrees higher than what you see from the stock EGT probe. With this in mind, you might be running a little too cool up top.
