I just got mine monday and all I have to say is this thing it HUGE! The core is the full width of the endtanks. I can't wait to see what it does for temp here in FL. The last 2 days have been 90+ deg and 90+% humidity.

Installed my Koyo, full aluminum Race version (bought off Ebay) over the weekend. I'm very impressed with the fit and finish, but thus far, even with the installation of the Crucial 160 degree thermostat, temps still seem to be about the same as with the stock rad. I've been hesitant to install the Crucial Rad cap, but I guess the main concern with a higher pressure cap is blowing the stock rad, correct?

I've only logged one drive thus far, but at a glance temps weren't significantly lower than before. I think I blame the lack of cooling on the fact that a good number of the fins on my a/c condenser are folded over. One day, when I'm feeling ambitious, I'll straighten some of them out. I'll also have to do some better looks at my logging and do some real comparisons.

Id presume the all aluminum radiators would fare better than the ones with the plastic ends.

Aside from the end tanks on the stock style rad, is there anywhere else in the system that may be vulnerable as a result of higher system pressure?

You need to make the radiator fans come on earlier, otherwise you will only see lower coolant temps at highway speeds. On a WRX this is possible with the open source flashing tools, but I haven't figured out a way to do it with my STI.
