I never doubted the turbo's ability to make power. But I do doubt the advertised fact that it is an 8cm housing. Looks like a 7cm to me.

Editing the original post so that nobody can see the picture doesn't exactly support your claim either.

^ i have nothing to hide. I edited all 14 items I sold today to eliminate any confusion from parting out an 04 STi. I was told by the original owner that this fp green was an 8cm, and I believe him, he is a friend of mine. It's hard to argue with the supporting date behind the numbers, 408whp on 93 pump/472whp on 109octane.

A 7cm housing can make gobs of power, just not as much as an 8cm. As for data to prove this is a 7cm housing, here is a photo of a forced performance 7cm housing:

And here is an 8cm housing:

Notice the 8cm ones don't have anything in that region but are stamped 080 near the flange(can't see in this pic but a lil search will show its true). I'm not trying to mess up your sale as its already sold, just thought I'd point it out to you. Sorry if I came off accusing.

Ok, we will settle this here...

*I* am the technician who installed this turbo onto the original car that it came off of.

We originally decided on the 8CM, 3 inch inlet turbo. The owner of the car at the time provided the turbo. As far as I and Scott Siegel were informed, it was an 8CM hotside.

Now, the only other way to set this straight...is the MEASURE the housing.

It was VERY possible that *IF* it turns out to be a 7CM...then both SS and I, along with the previous owner, were misled.

If so, this would CERTINLY not be the first time that a product comming from FP was wrong/other than advertized.

I cannot count how many times I have recieved an FP product, and it not fit, be wrong, housings clocked wrong...etc etc etc....

But the point is, it was originally sold to the previous owner of the car as an 3CM hot side turbo....so if you doubt it, measure the housing.
