The Outback height is more than just springs...the struts are a full inch longer as well, and it has subframe spacers that are taller than the regular Legacy.

I would swap the whole setup over if I wanted height. Otherwise I think I'd be putting a heck of a lot of preload on the springs with regular Legacy struts.

you can bolt on outback stuff no problem. pretty much all legacy suspension stuff is swap-able up till 2000 when they went to the multi-link. if you want to raise it then just get outback struts/springs and bolt it right up. if you really want you can do all the spacers, i think there are 12 total (4 front, 4 rear and 4 along the body), but its really just to help with alighment. you can still do it without messing with the spacers. this is a super common swap for outback sport owners who want some extra lift.
