Angry Unbeleivable scene just happened at Eddie Accardi Subaru

Ok I am writing this to cool down right now. I am so pissed I can't even decribe the extent.

This is a long one....

Ok So I bring my car in to get the cupholder replaced in my subie. While I was waiting I went inside to talk to a salesman to see if I could get a test drive in an STi since I have never actually driven one or sat in one before. I figured they wouldn't let me because I look young and I was by myself, but it couldn't hurt to try. I had a nice talk with the salesman (whose name I will leave out because I think he was a fairly nice guy). He tried to impress me about the car which he knew absolutely nothing about (he admitted that he just took the training course on the car 2 days earlier, and at this point I was trying so hard not to laugh because he really had no clue what he was talking about).

He said no test drive because buyers want low milage STis (which is true), but he agreed to let me sit in it. I looked around, turned on the guages, and to my surprize saw 79 miles on the odometer. I said "gee no testdriving huh?" We went back inside, and the sales guy went to get his manager and he came out and immediatly made up this lie about them taking the STi to a carshow thats why it has so many miles on it. (yea sure...what ever you say buddy, what do you think I look like, an idiot?)

I said ok, well thanks for your time and went back outside to wait on my car. I went outside and noticed that the STi was gone. What the hell is going on. I talked to another salesman and asked him if someone went on a test drive with it. Sure enough he said yes, and not a minute later I see the guy pull up, get out and say exactly this to the other sales guy "wow this thing has some pickup, thanks for the test drive!"

At this point I was furious, but said to myself, they are jerkoffs, I will just go to another dealer, its not worth getting myself pissed off about it.

And to my luck the original salesman walks by me and mentions something on the Sti, and I responded back to him saying don't bother sending me any email links about the Sti because after what just happened I wouldnt buy it from you annyway. He ran inside and told his manager and the manager came out.

This is where it gets good.

The manager walked up to me, Ivan Mitchel; stood over me and said "are you calling my guy a liar? are you calling me a ****ing liar" I just sat there in amazement that he came up to me with an attitude first of all. Now I go into defense mode and responded "no I did not, but what am I supposed to think when I just saw another guy come back from a test drive" He got up into my face and said I dont know s-h-i-t, I dont know anyhting about the car and that the guy just bought the car thats why he just "test drove it". I laughed and told him him that first of all I know more than any of your sales men including you about the sti, and not only that, I heard the guy say "thanks for the test drive" He then threatens to kick me in the mouth, so I just stood there in shock.

he walked off ranting and I couldnt belive what just happened. So I tried to cool off a bit and think nothing of it. and I see the original salesman walk by and I ran over to him to ask him what the managers name was, and was I surprized when the salesman pretended that he didnt even know me, I said we just sat down at the table and I just sat in the sti, and he said "uhh uhh I don't remember, too many people" and turned back around to avoid me. So I followed him and went back up to the manager, infrot of a whole croud of other salesmen, and before I said anything to the manager he screamed at me again and said to get in my ****ing car and leave. I told him that he had some nerve to treat a customer like that, and he said that I called him an a-s-s-h-o-l-e. That right there took every ounce of willpower in me not to straight out deck him across the face. He lied and said that I called him and *******. I could not belive it. He came up in my face again and kept screeming and threatening to hit me. I realized that I was in a loosing situation, so I turned around and got my car and left. I was lucky to get his name and the head GM at the dealership on my way out.

Right now im still in shock and not sure what to do. I really want to get this guy to suffer for treating me like this, because I am honestly not an ill tempered person. I just cannot beleive that he snapped like that. I mean I would feel bad If I just lied to a customer about test drives and have the lie blow up in my face, but I would not take out my agression on the customer.

Bottom line is anyone who is in south florida, please avoid Eddie Aaccardi subaru at all costs, they are a bunch of goons. I want the whole internet to know that without a doubt that Eddie Accardi is by far the worst subaru dealership, they treat their customers like ****, try to con them, and lie to them.

If anyone has any ideas what I can do about this situation please let me know.

thanks
-Ryan

You just bought a new car. They know you're not a serious buyer. Why waste miles on a new STI so you can get you jollies?

This is in the wrong forum and hopefully a mod will move it for you. But, I would call 1-800-3SUBARU and let them know. Or email a synopsis with the link to this thread to Subaru via this link. Cussing is a big no-no in the world of customer service. Even if you (not saying you did) let f-bomb after f-bomb roll out of your mouth, the pro saleman NEVER cusses around a client.

Umm....I think you missed the point of the post. This situation should have been handled more professionally. They could have said that "only qualified buyers" can test drive the STi and talked over some numbers, took down some info and then agreed to have a test drive by appointment at later date in order to determine how serious "LqSilver" was about buying the car.

I wasn't there and lets face it anyone can post anything on a message board and "LqSilver" isn't someone I "know" from Nasioc, but if this situation did in fact happen the way it was described this is very unfortunate.

LqSilver - I would recommend you find another dealership and not let this even bother you. I wouldn't even mention this event at the other dealership or they may think that your a "problem customer" right from the begining and treat you differently just because of that. That guy can call you whatever he wants, that doesn't make it true and you don't want to lower yourself to his level. "Don't get into a spitting contest with a skunk" I hope I helped. Good luck.

I'm really sorry to hear that LqSilver, I can't believe a manager would treat a customer like that! Someone at SOA definetely needs to hear about your situation, you might be able to get that a-hole fired. And it doesn't even matter if you were serious about buying the STi, you own a Subaru and just wanted to check it out. I don't live in that area, but if by some strange chance I ever do, I won't go to Eddie Aaccardi Subaru.

LqSilver

in the future, try to formulate your threads differently.

meaning... do not use special characters in order to avoid the swear/curse filter here on nasioc.com

doing such = warning points.
warning points = time out status or permanent banning from the site...

i understand you are upset,
but try to word it differently in the future -
yet convey the same emotion....

You shoulda called the cops right then and there. Its against the law to threaten bodily harm! You should demand that guys job. He should not be in a Customer Service position if he can't handle himself. What if that guy flipped out and actually resorted to violence. That dealership is the lucky one.

Man if the situation you just described is true and if were me that was in your place...there would be one unconcious manager on the showroom floor. Of course it would have been in total self defense...then I would have called the cops and pressed charges.

Don't ever let people talk to yo like that....teach them a lesson.

Angry hurt them in thir csi

call soa, 1800subaru9, and lodg a complaint. tell them that you want to lodge a formal written complaint, they'll tell you what to do. that will hurt their csi scores, which has a negative effect on a lot of things at the dealership. sounds like this guy was too far from his crack-pipe!

Don't lets this unreported. Dealerships will not respect customers unless they have called out for acting like this

And people wonder why we have a law suit happy society. The manager did not touch him, how could you punch him in self defense? With witnesses that would of course say otherwise? Before you knew it *you'd* be in court on assault charges of a local businessman. But of course I'm sure in your red rage you'd see it differently.

This sounds like a bad situation, obviously we're hearing one side of it. I doubt a dealership owner would get that upset without some provocation. I would be careful what you write and say about this, seeing as you could find yourself getting sued for libel. I agree no one should talk to you that way, however.

Either:

1. Someone who is all talk and a bigmouth or

2. Someone who has serious developmental problems and will be writing future posts from behind bars.
