Question First Mods to WRX

Hey all,

Shortly i'm planning to do the following to my 2002 WRX...

Add Short Shifter
Add new exhaust from the downpipes back
Add blowoff valve
Add cobb/APS cold air intake
Add new ECU piggyback chip

My question is, what will these mods do to my warranty?

The piggyback puts you at risk for getting denied ALL engine warranty work. The short shifter is the only ?safe? mod. Keep in mind SOA will have to justify/prove how your mod caused the part you are trying to get warrantied to fail before they can deny you.

Your best bet is to REMOVE all visible drivetrain mods (except the shifter) anytime you have a dealer touch your car. They will document any mods they see even if they are just doing a oil change.
