Post legacy gt BOV questions

Will a aftermarket BOV from a wrx or sti fit a legacy gt. I found some made specifically for it but i wonder if it would because they are relatively the same motor.

Not all by itself. The 05+ turbo Legacys have a diamond shaped plate and the WRX/STi's use a triangular shaped plate.

Maryland Turbo Solutions makes/sells an adapter plate that you can use to get a WRX/STi style BOV to work though.

As the abovve poster said, no they wont just bolt on. There are currently only 2 Legacy specific BOV's out there right now that I know of, though there may be more. I have seen the AVO and the Blitz.

Check out JSCSpeed.com or Rallysportdirect.com

Do BOV's on LGT's have the same problems as those on WRX's and STi's?

Let me ask you this: Are you really running such high boost that you can't just use the stock BOV? With a little cheap mod (crushing) on the stock BOV, it can be good for around 24psi or so.

I don't know of that mod, but unless you have MANY mods to your car which require high boost levels, stay away from a BOV

Anthony has it done on his stock BOV. You crush the spring or something like that.

Hmmm I dindt knwo you could crush the plastic BPV and still hold. I think metal is greater then plastic in my world for less leaking.

I'm waiting for anthony to chime in about his modded BPV.

Trust me, it holds. He has a vid where he's pushing 24psi on it.
