Default In-tank fuel filter?

Checking the scheduled maintenance list on the Subaru Canada website, it talks about replacing the in-tank fuel filter. Iíve checked the manual I have and I canít find any reference to a fuel filter other than the one in the engine compartment. Does my 2002 *have* and in-tank filter? If so, where the heck is it, and how do I replace it?

No, the '02 doesn't have a fuel filter in the tank, There is a sock filter on the fuel pump that usually doesn't need replaceing unless you are replaceing the fuel pump...
