Tony, I will make you cabinets made entirely of popcicle sticks and "shilack"!

Go to the Home and Garden show this weekend (or next, can't remember) at the Fairgrounds. They'll be lots of vendors selling/installing cabinets and they usually offer special "event" pricing. Plus you can see what different options, colors, and quality you might want. I saw a few that had full garages for $500-$1000, pretty nice too.

Just an idea.

If you want cheap and you are not to picky, find someone doing a kitchen remodeling. If you can't get them for free, they will at least be cheap. I found a lady in Scottsdale doing a remodel, gave me all her cabinets for free so she didnt have to get rid of them. They were in great shape. I painted them black before putting them in. Get a maple bench top and a sheet of stainless for the workbench(easy cleanup). I actually need to get some more as I have sold that house and now have my tandem 3 car. Using the third bay as the Man Room. No women allowed, except Subie of course.

I would chat with a remodel company. I did this last year. Ask them to give you the old stuff when the remodel someones kitchen. They then save money because no dump run. Most are in very good shape. Target sells a nice set in the hardware section also.
