Also interested. I would like to see FP to take 5 minutes to read this (their own thread) and respond. I think my sales team would be fired if I read this and alot of sales got away.

What, they can't be bothered to? They come here and take 5 minutes to post a response they "talk" to 45 potential customers. Instead they want to deal with 45 phone calls?

It's easier than reading all of the boards and sorting through our little debates such as this.
"I want to remind everyone that we have lots of work to do and don't get to read the board very often, so please send your questions directly to us via email or even better, call 972-984-1800 if you need answers.

Boost on brothers!

Default Here is the deal.

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for the suggestions and comments, it is great to be able to get so much feedback from the community like this. It looks like possibly 50+ people indicate interest, so my goal of 25+ turbos should be cleared easily even with some “no shows”.

Here are the details for the MOAGB.

The product:
FPGreen model for Subaru with 8cm turbine housing, oil and water cooled, with water lines installed and oil drain tube installed and gasket set, with the 34mm port job, with 15psi actuator, with outlet flange studs for $1199.

Options:
Red model upgrade $75
2.4” inlet $no charge and not possible on Red model
Braided SS oil feed line $50, normally $75
Ceramic coated turbine housing $65, normally $100

Here is how we will do this in 2 simple steps.

Step 1: At this time we invite all interested parties to email Amber@forcedperformance.net and give their full personal info except for CC number. The orders will be filled in the order these “order” emails are rec’d.

Here is what we need:

Name, address, phone, email, and indicate how you want your turbo (the details), and if you need any of the available options.

Step 2: Amber will call you all back or email you back with your order number and confirm with you. At this time you will make your credit card payment for the turbo.

Due to the large number of you that seem to be interested, we may not be able to ship the turbos as soon as your payment is processed as initially hoped, however I would expect all these orders to be filled and shipped before the first week of Feb, but there is no way to promise. I can promise that we have on hand enough parts to fill all orders placed, and that the orders are going to be filled as quickly as we can build turbos – but that machine has just one speed, forward.

We will accept orders for a limited time only, so don’t fool around, send your order email to Amber now.

BTW, I have answered lots of emails on this subject. I did take this weekend off for kart racing with my son. He did really well and we both had a blast. Sorry for not keeping up with emails over the weekend, but if you don't take some time out for fun, what is the point right?

Still boosting,
Robert Young

yes, the red has a 3 inch inlet...you need to delete the tgv if you get a 3inch inlet green too.

I'm asking Robert at FP this one too but feel free to chime in, guys -

I already have an EWG setup (38mm UR uppipe/GT SPec II header) with my VF39, is there still an advantage to go with the 8cm housing and a 2.4" inlet? Oh and I have alky as well 50/50 meth mix.

This is such a good deal I'm not sure I can pass it up.

Thanks in advance!

Ok, we have 8 of you on the list so far.

Here goes a few answer to ?'s;

Q. is there still an advantage to go with the 8cm housing?

A. Yes, the 8cm housing will always offer a benefit in reducing turbine pressure. This can be useful in any application. The trade off however is the increase in boost threshold. There will always be a couple hundred RPM higher boost threshold on a 8 compared to a 7. If you can tolerate that (most can no big deal) then take the benefit and proceed.

Q. Maybe it's me being a noob but is the TD06 wheel standard?

A. Nope. The standard wheel for a FPGreen turbocharger is our Brand New TD06H replacement with better aero. All FPGreen and FPRed turbos feature this brand new aero.

Q. When you say "It would be impossible to maintain pump gas boost levels (under 22psi) on a turbo like this without wastegate port work" does this also hold true for 2L WRXs? Is this true with either a 7cm or 8cm housing?

A. It applies to both 7 and 8cm housings. The way the housings are made OEM, they will control boost on a 16g turbo with cats in the exhaust system. When the cats are eliminated, and the exhaust gets larger and larger, and the compressor wheel capacity gets larger and larger, something else needs to get larger and larger at the same time. That thing is your wastegate flow capacity. The max flow of the internal wastegate needs to be significantly increased in the 3" catless 20g + flow rate turbochargers. The entry to the wastegate needs to be unshrouded and enlarged to promote improved flow thru the flapper port. Without this, you have all the other flow capacities increased, but yet stock wastegate flow capacity. This means that the turbine shaft must flow all the new extra air, and when it does, it will continue to accelerate. What is going to happen if you continue to accelerate the turbine shaft on a 700+ cfm turbocharger evan after you have reached the desired boost level? It is going to flow more and more and more air and make more and more and more boost.

ok, back to work for me.

boost on!
