I want to change my oil, but I need to know how much oil to buy. Anyone know?

5 qts and you'll have around a half left on the last bottle.

You almost make it sound like 5.5 qts

Yeah, 4.3-4.7 is usually optimal for me. Depends on the size of the filter and how long I let the old stuff drain.

It should have a couple of engraved marks on it. I believe. It's too dark to go doublecheck right now.

In between the dots and you're fine. Below the low dot = 1 qt. low, above the 2nd dot = over the limit, the notch above that is the oil level when the engine is warm.

The dipsticks on subaru's aren't the most accurate in the world. As long as you arent over the notch you'll be fine.
