Default Colorado Subaru guys coming to AZ for Nopi... Please read.

What's up. I just wanted to find out how many of the people here on nasioc from the area are planning on going to the Nopi show at firebird in mid March. I've gone the last two years and will be going again with the wrx this year(instead of the talon). We stay off of I-10 and Chandler Blvd and it'll be myself(bugeye wrx), an 04 sti, an 03 evo VIII, an 05 evo MR along with a 94 gt40 powered toyota supra. Just tryin to get some ideas on some things to do while we're out there and car meets are always a blast. Thanks for any input.

Jesse

Yeah it's just kind of our tradition. It's something to do to get out of the freezing cold during spring break. I enjoy it and we get to drag race which we can't do for nopi here in Denver, it's only a car show and drift event here.

Yeah they definitely need more shows up there. Always so dissapointed that the best thing to look forward to is the Denver Auto Show.

I think I went last year and it was REALLY lame.

Why not come to the BarrettJ auction instead? It'll be a MUCH better car show and if you want to drag, just go to one of the local tracks on friday or saturday night.

Totally had friends that had margaritas at nopi. It was a ton of fun the first year we went (2005) last year was alright. If you went last year and watched any of the racing you for sure saw me and the other guys I went with. I had the only 2nd gen Talon there(silver) ran a 13.0 (boo hoo) and a banana yellow toyota supra with lambo doors that bit the dust half way down the track.

Not to be rude here, but with posts like this its no wonder the NOPI event or HIN out here doesn't get any turnout. People should join in with the original poster here and try to make it event! It'll never get better if everyone keeps saying don't go. I've seen plenty of nice cars driving the streets of Phoenix and from what I read of the mod's some of you have on your car you should be able to show up for the race's too.

I'll be showing up to the awd meet when I get down there. Probably can't miss my car, 02 wrb with all sti interior turboback exhaust fmic jdm fog light covers defi center gauge setup hyper black 18's and POOP ASS stock black sideskirts(someone please trade me for umm, wrb sti's?? haha) I'll see you guys next week. I'm sure you'll see me driving around Tempe and Scottsdale whenever I'm not at firebird.
