So I was going down the highway the other dayand caught a rock in the condensor. It busted a hole and Ineed to replace it. I was thinking I could do this myself. Suby dealership said its about 10 clips to remove the bumber, and that its a simple sway. But I know better...anyone done this before? Are there are snags that make this one of those "why did I try this" projects. Any input would be amazing! Thanks

Ok here is the deal.
I looked at my AC condenser on MY06 and it looks close to the same set up as a MY97 legacy (which i have changed). and this is what i had to do. Remove front fascia (And bumper beam helps) disconnect radiator bolts on top so you can push it back a bit (you may need to take out the radiator for safety reasons. (for obvious reasons try not to unhook the radiator hose if you do not have to. unhook the AC condenser and pull it right out do the same to put it back in. However a new AC condenser pump had to be installed and charged before you can turn the AC one once more (on the legacy GT) Fairly easy deal there. My brother and i where out playing down some 4 wheeler trails, my brother drifted into a tree and punctured the AC condenser and here we stand having to replace it. *EDIT* AC unit was $125.00 at like carpartswholesale.com i think, the pump i got at autozone for about $50.00 and the charge was done by a friend so i dont know the value. make sure you get a dealership to drain the A/C system before you work on it. That system is under high pressure, also its illegal to vent/dump fluid from it to the atmosphere.. but it kinda sounds like your system is already drained though.. but be carefull and good luck.
