Default Cheap WRX brakes for sale

Not mine, but I know a lot of you BD and early BE guys would be interested in this:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1178144

This is the biggest front brakes you can run under the stock 16" LGT snowflakes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I'd be upgrading anything on my BE by adding those, right?

NO mark. if they fit, i would have stayed with my 15 inches. i HAD to roll on some 16's with this set up. as for 15's, they will only fit if you have special 15 inchers (as posted on mnsubaru). ;d

Not necessarily. Early BE LGT's got BD LGT brakes; 10.7" w/ dual piston.

It was in 02-03 when they switched all LGT's over to the WRX sized brakes. L Legacies still retained the 10.7" brakes through the entire life of the BE/BH chassis code however.

My 00 LGT LTD had the 10.7s, so I went to the WRX brakes and then more recently to the LGT fronts. MitchGT probably has the same stock brakes as I had, as rougeben83 mentioned. It would be an upgrade if that's the case.

WRX brakes won't fit under any stock Subaru 15" wheels that I know of.

Not sure what you're talking about, as the brakes in the link above your post clearly shows the brackets are still there.

For an example of calipers without brackets, see djerickd's post.

I too have a set of front WRX calipers only, no brackets, just like djerickd. They're lying around the parts pile.

FYI, the brackets and rotors are the only thing that differs between 10.7" RS/GT brakes over the 11.4" WRX brakes. You could technically order just the brackets from a dealership and buy rotor blanks from autozone and have them upgraded that way.

I didn't bother changing the calipers on mine and just swapped brackets and rotors when I upgraded (didn't want to have to bleed brakes :P)

I'll need to change the calipers on mine so I got pretty lucky. This is the second two-piston car I've had to change the calipers on after 100k :/
