Default idling under 500 RPM's

I had my front 02 sensor replaced under warranty last week. Since then my car has been idling under 500 RPM's constantly. I reset the ECU 2 times (unplugged neg. battery terminal for 30 minutes and held the brake for about 15 seconds) to no avail.

Anyone experienced a similar problem? How bad is this for my car?

Any help will be great. Thanks.

it isn't a problem, as long as it isn't surging and is stable. (even then it really isn't a problem) give it more time and don't reset the ecu, it might take 2 weeks of normal driving to find a good idle point by itself.

Are you shure it's under 500...it's probly under 750 as that the first line down from 1,000, and there is another line that is the 500 line just above the 0.

Are you verifying the 500 rpms with a datalogger, or with the analog tachometer that is in your vehicle?

Just looking at the Tachometer in the car. But also it feels like it wants to stall when idling.

Try getting ahold of a datalogger to see what the ECU is seeing for your RPMs

The tachometer is not always accurate. Mine after a good warmup says 400ish RPMs, but using datalogger it fluctuates within 700rpms.

If it is of any sustained concern, you can notify the dealer of this issue after you taken it to them for some previous work.
